This is a title

I'm using a desktop after such a long time. It feels weird; I'm used to the smaller keys of my laptop. Sadly, the only way I can use internet here in Multan is through this, so it'll have to do.

Anyhow, I'm here at my cousins' house for these last days of Ramazan and we're staying here 'til Eid ends. I'll probably post a proper blog entry when I get back (hopefully). Until then, this mini observation/rant shall have to suffice:

Being at someone else's home is weird. It just doesn't feel right at times. Everything's just so...Different.
Don't get me wrong, it's never a dull moment with my cousins, and we all have a lot of fun together, but some of the smaller things always make you feel as if it's just not completely right.

Water, for example. Water tastes different, and I didn't even know that was possible. Water is water. Water is tasteless. How the heck does water here taste different from the water I drink at home?

Actually, I could probably figure it out if I put my mind to it, but meh. YOU DO NOT BE ALL LOGICAL AND EXPLANATORY WHEN RANTING.

And the beds. The beds are the biggest problem. I'm pretty used to my own soft, comfy bed. Everywhere else we stay, it's almost like I'm sleeping on a stone tablet with a pillow. I wake up with a horrible ache in my back and arms, and that slowly stacks up over the days. It's never gotten really bad, but it's still one of those minor annoyances that you'd rather do away with.

And then there's the fact that my brothers become all show-off-y, which irritates me, but I'm used to the little pests.

There's the food too. While I'm not sure how I feel about the 'if you haven't seen black, you'll never know how colourful the rainbow is', I will agree that I never really appreciated my mum's cooking until now. Don't get me wrong, the food is pretty good, and I like it, but it doesn't taste like -to quote TFiOS- 'like God Himself cooked heaven into a series of dishes which were then served to you accompanied by several luminous balls of fermented, bubbly plasma'. My mum's an amazing cook. I want her foodz x.x

But, it's not all bad. I haven't laughed so much in ages, and it's good to see the cousins again. Fatima's as cute as ever, and now she can talk x).

Anyhow, looks like my time's up for now. I'll remember to squeeze in a proper post after Eid.

Happy now, Bob? I finally wrote to you.

Don't worry, I'll remember to write this time...Probably.

...Okay, I'll write. Promise.
